Your Right to Data Deletion
At Wisent Software, we respect your privacy rights and are committed to providing you with complete control over your personal data. In compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store requirements, we offer multiple ways for you to request the deletion of your account and associated data.
Processing Timeline: Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
Data Retention: Some data may be retained longer if legally required by applicable laws, regulations, or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, security, or ongoing legal matters.
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request account deletion, the following categories of data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Identification Data: Name, email address, phone number
- Account Credentials: Authentication tokens and login information
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, timestamps, and activity logs
- Device Data: Device IDs, operating system information, and metadata
- Location Data: Approximate geolocation data derived from your device or IP address
- Analytics Data: Behavioral data collected via PostHog and internal telemetry
- Financial Transaction Metadata: Transaction IDs and purchase records (full payment details are not stored by us)
- AI Input Data: Prompts, queries, and interactions with AI features
- User-Generated Content: Notes, tasks, routines, reminders, and other content created within the app
Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your data, content, or account history. Please ensure you have backed up any information you wish to retain before submitting a deletion request.
Data Retained After Deletion
In certain circumstances, we may retain limited data even after account deletion, including:
- Data required to comply with legal obligations, regulations, or court orders
- Data necessary for fraud prevention, security investigations, or abuse prevention
- Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you personally
- Transaction records required for financial auditing or tax compliance
- Communications records where retention is legally mandated
Alternative Deletion Methods
In addition to this web form, you can also request account deletion through the following methods:
1. In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Open the Wisent app, navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and follow the on-screen instructions. This is the fastest and most direct method.
2. Email Request
Send an email to support@wisentapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your Wisent account
- A brief statement confirming your request to delete your account and data
